The Iced Red Bean Milk Tea is a sweet and refreshing treat, balancing smooth milk tea with subtly textured red beans—a perfect pairing to the savory fare.

Guests have noted the lively open mic karaoke nights, a unique touch adding to Local Bistro’s community feel. The walk-in fridge stocked with an extensive beer selection invites casual exploration and sharing, though some details in upkeep may show signs of wear, adding to the place’s genuine, lived-in charm.

Free soup. There is a station you can just pull yourself a cup it was pretty bland. But no complaints, it’s free. We ordered three dishes for two people. The last dish was salt and pepper shrimp they brought it to us in the very end when we almost done eating the first two so we couldn’t eat it because it’s more like an appetiser dish. So if you order us to bring them first .
Great food for some HK cafe favorites. Definitely coming back when we’re in the mood for some home style meals. I wish they had a few more servers during the busy dinner rush. However, shoutout to Jeremy for the excellent service and food! He’s the real mvp!
Probably the nicest HK cafe in Fremont. The baked pork chop rice was fantastic and it had egg and hot dog. Milk tea is not bad, could've been stronger. The hot plates looked great at the next table. The vibe is interesting. It's like hip and cool and they even have open mic karaoke at night and a walk of fridge filled with beer. But it also looked like it wasn't maintained in a way? The fridges has other groceries in it so it looked like a mom's and pops hole in the wall instead. And the fun area by the front door looks abandoned. It would be a cool place they tidied up a bit.
EVERY dish I've ever ordered in this restaurant is delicious! I've even had a premonition dream where I literally said, "Hmmm, that's good" the morning before having dinner here!
Honestly, the food is ok, nothing is outstanding compared to the restaurants in this complex. The steam yellow chicken tastes just fine but it’s cool, I think if it’s served hot it will be better. Salted and pepper fried tofu is too much breaded, crunchy but I just personally don’t like a thick flour cover for any fried food. Seafood fried rice is good with many different toppings. Pork Green bean is too much greasy. Good service, friendly staffs.
Lunch during pandemic on a Saturday noon. There was plenty of parking and we were seated immediately. Overall, the food was very good but there is one thing to watch out for if you do not eat spicy food. Three items we ordered were spicy but was not indicated on the menu. We initially ordered them to share amongst the family but both my wife and son do not eat spicy food and therefore was not able to eat any of them. Other than that, everything else was good; the place was nicely decorated and clean, food arrived quickly, and the staff were friendly.
